My wife and I traveled all the way from NYC to spend our 1yr Anniversary at Mercure. It was WORTH EVERY SEC OF TRAVEL. The staff was welcoming and accommodating from start to finish. The food(breakfast,lunch,and dinner) was amazing. We did get the All inclusive package with the overwater bungalow. I recommend getting the all inclusive. Those drinks were FLOWING and it's always good not to worry about having my wallet(except for tipping) when I'm in swimming trunks 24/7. The resort being Adults only was a huge plus for us. Being surrounded by other mature and loving couples was a great vibe for the entire stay. At night they had diff activities for the guest. Our favorite was movie n popcorn night, and of course when the DJ setup and had the music jumping while some couples danced, conversed, and smoked shisha/cigars(me). They offer like a free 30minute couples photo shoot around the resort but we declined because we didn't want to waste anytime away from the beach, our private pool, or the main pool at the resort. The resort was immaculate. our fridge in the room was always stocked(snacks,liqour,juices soda).you are able to order a bucket of beer to your room. Which was great because it was a pretty good walk in that sun. Only regret we have is not staying an extra week 😔 .Thanks Mercure for an amazing EXPERIENCE.

Genuinely the most relaxing holiday I've ever had.

I have never felt as relaxed on holiday as I did here. It is a small resort, which in my mind is perfect. Super dive shop with lots of trips, we saw loads of sharks on the shark dive. Snorkeling from the house reef is amazing, rays, turtles, sharks, octopus and all manner of fish. We stayed in a water villa, there is a glass part of the floor to sit and watch the fish at night 😍😍. Bar and restaurants x 2 are great. All top shelf drinks included. Pool is lovely, the massages in the spa are fantastic. I used the laundry service, prompt, very good and a reasonable price. I laugh at people that go to the same country twice and here I am looking to book to the same resort for next year. I feel the best I have in a long time! The entire team there do what they can to ensure you have a super holiday.

Exceeding expectations by far

Fantastic stay at the Mercure with so many highlights to mention. Particularly enjoyed the quality and taste food and drinks, great reef for swimming and snorkeling and extremely helpful and friendly staff. The Over Water Villas offer easy access to the calm sea and you are certain to meet baby sharks, turtles and lots of different and colorful fish. The beautiful and calm reef is definitely above the standard of other resorts. The resort itself is very beautiful and matches the great optics you expect in the Maldives. Food at the Alita restaurant was also great as it varied a lot and often focused on offering single, tasty ingredients for you to combine which really brought out their fresh flavors. The a la carté experience in Vista Restaurant was also nicely crafted and is liked by many guests; however we were disappointed with the menu offered (very few vegetarian options - and zero vegan, as cheese is thrown on almost every dish on the menu). Lots of tasty mocktails (and cocktails) to try; at least for us this set the resort apart from other All Inclusive offerings Great benefits and inclusions/vouchers such as several free and paid activities and the Spa, which we also used and enjoyed. All the staff members were really friendly and we did did not get a single „no“ during the entire stay. Housekeeping also always very timely and never missed a spot. Overall the experience by far exceeded our expectations compared to other resorts in the Maldives. Last but not least, when on departure day our domestic transfer to Male was heavily delayed due to weather, the Mercure team together with Maldivian Air ground staff and our international carrier (Turkish Airlines) organized a rush transfer in Male for us which meant we were able to change from the domestic plane to the international flight incl. picking up and dropping off luggage, passport control and security in all under seven minutes; counted from doors opening of the domestic plane to reaching the international boarding gate. We caught the flight in the very last minute thanks to the super fast transfer arrangements. Thanks again for making this possible; otherwise we would have been stuck in Male and would have had to buy new tickets to get home.

Luxurious resort! True paradise on Earth! Great staff!

We recently stayed at Mercure Maldives Kooddoo resort for 7 nights and absolutely enjoyed our stay here - in fact, I am writing this review from the porch of our overwater villa, overlooking the turquoise sea. The Mercure is a truly luxurious resort. From our arrival at Male international airport, the hotel staff took excellent care of us and escorted us to the arrival lounge while they sorted our check in and procedures for our onward flight to Kooddoo. The hotel and the airport are basically the only locations on the island - which is perfect as the transfer form the local airport to the resort literally only takes 1 minute. The fact that the airport is near the hotel is not an issue - there are only 3-4 flights a day and you don’t really hear the airplanes. Our overwater villa was amazing, very stylish and lots of privacy. We also thoroughly enjoyed the food throughout our stay. Breakfast was great with a huge selection of local and international food. Dinner was a different theme (eg seafood, Maldivian, Sri Lankan, BBQ,…) every evening and always delicious. We would like to especially mention the great staff at this resort. Everyone was always very helpful, friendly and engaging. A special mentioning to Alisha who we had great conversations with and who always guessed our wish before we even mentioned anything. We can thoroughly recommend this resort and would love to stay again!

Amazing - there is no other words to describe this resort

We recently returned from a 5 night stay the the Mercure Maldives Resort. I am trying to think of some different words that could be said about this amazing resort and the only thing that comes to mind is GO!!!!! Just Go! It is heaven on earth. One suggestion - as the reef is further out then some of the closer in over-water huts, I think for safety, a ladder should be installed at the furthest out point should someone be tired and struggle to swim back in.
